Youngsters of CCH performed songs, dances and drama at the event. Performances by over 150 differently-abled children were lauded by the distinguished guests and audiences.
The programme also included a discussion, sharing seasonal fruits and giving out free medicine to the children with special needs.
Tahmina Begum, president of Club for Disabled Female, chaired the discussion. Brother Frank of Teije Brother House, Mymensingh town attended the discussion as chief guest. Among others, journalist AHM Motaleb, artistes Akbar Hossain and Mohammad Joynal Abedin also spoke on the occasion. CCH executive director Niranjan Bose Mithu delivered the welcome speech.
Speakers noted that physically disabled individuals are often wrongly considered burdens on the society. If provided with opportunities and proper education/training, they too can contribute to the society and live dignified lives. They need empathy from us.
The guests also admired performances by the differently-abled children.
