Vatsayan : 12

It is better to be a flower
to please people–,
from such a consideration
I didn’t bloom in this fearless forest.
I’m an unhappy flower of the earth
that bloomed in men’s heart.

Deciding to drink beauty
before the sunrise,
like summer heat
I jumped on the
dews of virgin-grass.

When in unfinished fire of sex
my body was roasted
like Salvador Dali’s zebra,
I found my desired heaven
under the prostitute’s feet.

I followed my blood-clan,
that helped me to mitigate
my conflict with the animal world.

I never considered men
as the best of all beings.
The copulation of the ducks
I loved more than men’s.
