Siddique Mahmudur Rahman was awarded Silver-Bronze Medal from 22nd Asian International Stamp Exhibition, ‘Jakarta 2008’, under the patronage of Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP), held during 23-28 October 2008 for his outstanding research publication ‘Artist K G Mustafa and his Outstanding Designs.” ‘, ‘This research compendium on postal history and postage stamps of Bangladesh created great enthusiasm among the researchers and general readers.
Siddique Mahmudur Rahman earlier was awarded Silver-Bronze Medal from Cardinal Spellman Philatelic Museum Inc., USA, Bronze Medal from American Philatelic Society, USA both in 1990 and Silver Bronze Medal by Australian Philatelic Federation in 1993 for his pioneering publication ‘Bangladesh Stamps and Postal History’.
He was awarded Silver Bronze by Pacific Explorer, Australia in 2005 for his unique philatelic software in CD Postage Stamps of Bangladesh. Siddique Mahmudur Rahman, a reputed researcher, author, translator, editor, publication specialist and pioneer in research on postal history and postage stamps of Bangladesh, is the author of 20 books, of which, 4 are research works on postal history and postage stamps of Bangladesh, 8 literary translations and 5 other literary works.
He had developed two unique multimedia softwares on postage stamps of Bangladesh.A good number of research papers were published in leading journals of Bangladesh and Banglapedia.
